ABOUT THE COMPANY

Mainfreight is a leading a global supply chain provider with over 240 branches around the world specialising in Logistics, Transport, Air and Ocean.  Due to growth an opportunity has become available for a Pallet Controller to join our Logistics site at Epping.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a challenging position for a motivated and reliable person to join a well-established, fast paced company and work with a strong team.  Reporting to the Branch Manager your role will be responsible for managing Chep and Loscam pallets.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

  • Coordinating and maintaining equipment control of Chep and Loscam pallets
  • Pallet reconciliations
  • Transfer of pallets to other Mainfreight sites for deliveries via a logistics system (MIMS, Freman)
  • Managing nil recovery of pallets and IOUS
  • Resolving pallet rejections, discrepancies and ensuring accuracy
  • Ensuring pallet systems are up to date and managed weekly
  • Monitor pallet accuracy of outbound consignments
  • Educate team members regarding pallet processes and procedures
  • Liase with customers
  • Issues and dehires
  • Data entry of pallet dockets
  • Filing of pallet paperwork
  • Provide support service to the Logistics team

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience within the logistics and warehousing environment highly regarded but not essential
  • Computer literate and proficient using MS Office application (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Be able to use Chepmate and HMS highly regarded but not essential as training will be provided
  • A positive attitude and passion for motivating a team
  • Outstanding people and communication skills
  • Great organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Be professional and be able to work under pressure
  • 1 – 2 years of pallet control experience highly regarded
