Section Leader - Sample Registration

The team at DTS have developed robust quality systems, invested in comprehensive equipment, assets and services to ensure that our facility is a world class operation.                                         

DTS is seeking to appoint a Section Leader – Sample Registration.  The primary objective of the role of the Section Leader is to be directly responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational needs of the Department. You will ensure service level expectations are met within budget and that the section operates to appropriate quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that service delivery meets or exceeds your customers’ requirements
  • Reviewing, developing and introducing systems, practices and cultural changes that enables the Department to better meet business demands within agreed timeframes and expected standards
  • Providing expert advice to key customer departments and to professionally represent the department to key customers
  • Ensuring compliance to all Quality and OH&S systems
  • Ensuring staff are appropriately trained and competent in all company procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new business to meet company business goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to manage/co-ordinate service/project delivery across functional groups
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Strong team building and leadership attributes
  • Experience in a management/supervisory role within a Laboratory environment
