Document Controller

Summit Southern Cross Power is a subsidiary business of global powerhouse, Sumitomo. Due to a recent business acquisition, we are seeking a Document Controller.

The Document Controller will report to the Information Management Advisor and is responsible for Document Control activities in adherence with Governance policies and procedures. 

This position will suit someone who like to get things right, likes to ensure accuracy and enjoys a hands on dynamic work environment where no two days are the same.

 

The duties and responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate activities related to the Document Control procedures
  • Prepare, review and maintain document templates to the correct style guide
  • Input document data into the standard registers
  • Generate document control reports as required
  • Maintain updated records of all approved documents
  • Ensure controlled copies of latest approved documents are available and distributed
  • Ensures proper document classification, sorting, filing and archiving
  • Review comprehensiveness of documentation and prepare document transmittals
  • Be responsible for coordinating, capturing, transferring and progressing data between sites
  • Assist with archiving activities
  • Ensure legal register correlates with documents in legal safe
  • Follow up with overdue document approvals

 

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Document control experience within a corporate environment is desired but not essential
  • Proficient knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs
  • High level document formatting skills
  • Ability to create document templates using Microsoft Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work logically, consistently and accurately
