Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers B1 and B2

Located at Perth Airport, Maroomba Airlines has been connecting Perth with Regional WA and beyond since 1985. Maroomba supports a diverse group of valued clients and as one of Perth’s longest established Charter companies, they enjoy an enviable reputation as an Air Charter Operator.

Maroomba Airlines are entering into an exciting growth phase and will soon be opening their own Part 145 Maintenance facility on site to conduct line maintenance on their fleet of Dash 8; Beech 1900 and B200 Kingair aircraft.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, an opportunity exists for experienced and professional individuals to take up the fulltime positions of Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. We require both B1 and B2 LAMEs, type rated and experienced on Dash 8 100/200/300; Beechcraft B1900 and B200 Kingair aircraft.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in accordance with CASA regulations and Maroomba Engineering safety standards and procedures
  • Ensure that maintenance of aircraft is carried out in accordance with the manufacturers inspection schedule
  • Liaise with Maintenance Watch.

Essential Criteria

  • Licensed B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with airframe and engine experience and type rated where applicable on the following aircraft:
    • Dash 8 100/200/300 (PW 120);
    • B1900 (PWC-PT6);
    • Kingair 200 (PWC-PT6)
  • Licensed B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with Electrical / Instrument / Radio experience and type rated where applicable on the following aircraft: 
    • Dash 8 100/200/300;
    • B1900;
    • Kingair 200
  • Current and valid Motor Drivers Licence;
  • Excellent verbal communication and written skills with strong attention to detail;
  • Work well within a team environment;
  • Holds or able to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
