Your new role:
In this role, you will be is responsible for leading the Procurement Services Team in the delivery of effective, efficient and value-added procurement, fleet and stores processes and services that align with Council’s strategic priorities and business needs.

The position is responsible for providing specialist advice, guidance and support to key stakeholders on all aspects of the procurement functions, leading the development and implementation of policies, procedures, systems and performance management frameworks and partnering with stakeholders to develop innovative supply strategies, establish supply arrangements and lead high-level negotiations to deliver value for money outcomes.

What you will need to succeed:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or post graduate qualifications relevant to the position;
  • Substantial work experience relevant to the role and specifically covering the full scope of effective procurement practices including complex tendering processes;
  • Strong and extensive leadership skills including the proven ability to provide direction, mentoring and support to a multi-disciplinary team of people; and
  • Extensive experience in the programming of works for multi-year delivery.
