Part Time Electrical/Electronics Technician

  • Epping, view to full time work
  • Reporting to the State Manager
  • Hands on electrical/electronic work

Based in its new Epping facility, this Australian owned technology company manufactures and distributes various types of infrastructure and rolling stock equipment for the rail and light rail sectors.

A new position has become available due to an increase in orders, presenting a ground floor opportunity initially for 2 days a week.

A typical day will include but not limited to:

  • Interpreting plans, drawings and bills of material
  • Electrical and electronics fault finding, repairs, manufacture and assembly
  • Order, receive, inspect and store products and materials
  • Conduct or coordinate inspections and tests
  • Identify and report safety and environmental risks, hazards and incidents
  • Actively participate in reviews, audits and improvement initiatives

The successful applicants will need to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in electronic, electrical fault finding, repair, manufacturing and assembly
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Certificate or Diploma in Electronics or Electrical Technology
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical information and drawings
  • Current forklift licence [or willingness to aquire]
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks on time and to the required level of quality
  • Being organised, reliable, accurate and self-motivated
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workshop, including equipment, plant and tools
