Speech Pathologist

What do we do?
The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Limited (IUIH) is a not-for-profit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Organisation, and operates five (5) primary health care clinics in the Moreton Bay and Brisbane North region. 

IUIH and its Members serve Australia’s largest and fastest growing Indigenous populations, predicted to reach 131,000 in 2031.

As a Speech Pathologist, you will be a valuable assist in providing dedicated resources and program designed to support adults, families and children with speech pathology intervention within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The position responsibilities will include: 
• Provide clinical services to clients
• Provide culturally responsive assessment and intervention for families/children and adults
• Liaise with local kindergartens and schools, Queensland Health and Education Queensland regarding the services available
• Ensure information is recorded accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record system

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
  • Criminal History Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Blue Card
  • Speech Pathology Australia Membership
  • Relevant degree in Speech Pathology
