ABOUT THE ROLE

Currently undertaking a progressive growth and development phase, we have an exciting opportunity for a Full Stack Developer to join our Information Technology Development team.

Based in our Wangara Head Office, this key, newly created position will see you analysing, developing, implementing and supporting the latest developments, and using the latest technologies, to our custom-built .NET applications built upon a DevOps driven micro-services Azure architecture framework.

Working on a broad range of projects, translating business requirements into solutions and ensuring all tasks updates and advances are delivered and completed effectively and to a high standard. This role will act as 2IC to the Web Development Team Leader and is expected to perform at this level when required.

Duties will include:

  • Design, code, test, debug and document software according to the functional requirements.
  • Develop, maintain and support programs and tools.
  • Analyse, diagnose and resolve errors related to applications.
  • Provide technical expertise across multiple areas of application development.
  • Engage with developers, end users and other stakeholders to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
  • Act as development team leader, guiding and supporting team during periods of absence.
  • Work to enhance development team capabilities, sharing knowledge and skill sets across the team.
  • Review system management processes and take action to ensure conformity with organisational specifications and requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain relevant technical documentation
  • Govern and control inline code and system architecture to ensure structure standards are maintained and upheld.
  • Help define project plans requiring software development.
  • Document and conduct own testing activities
  • Adhere to company change management practices.
  • Assist the business with the development and execution of test cases and plans.
  • Provide reporting on system development activities and analysis as required.
  • Identify and propose further training and development of self and team to ensure skills are up to date with current technology.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Essential:

  • Degree qualification in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 years full stack development experience.
  • Advanced skills in a variety of Microsoft technologies: ASP.NET, .NET Core, MVC, HTML5, SQL
  • Advanced understanding of software programming concepts and theory.
  • Experience of working to and applying Agile methodologies.
  • 1-2 years’ experience working with micro-service technologies in Azure cloud architecture
  • Strong experience working within DevOps frameworks
  • Excellent analytical capability and attention to detail.
  • A passion for software development and a job well done.
  • Highly motivated, with demonstrated initiative and sound time management skills.
  • Ability to work under own initiative.
  • Sound analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and with stakeholders.
  • Genuine interest in leading, supporting and developing a team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Proficient with database design and development.
