Teaching Assistant - Learning Support

Coomera Anglican College was established in 1997 and is a leading Preparatory to Year 12 co-educational day school with over 1400 students.  The College Purpose is to Inspire Excellence in Teaching, Learning, Service and Faith.   

The College is seeking to appoint outstanding Teaching Assistants to work in our Continuous Learning (Learning Support) Faculty.  These positions are full time, term time role, working across either Primary, Middle School or Senior Secondary.  All roles are 35 hours per week and will commence on Monday 20 January 2020.

To be successful you will have previous experience working in a similar environment with students who are experiencing learning difficulties and require additional support.  The priority for this role is to provide students with in class support, however there may be the need to provide support in small groups or in one-on-one sessions as well.  You will be highly organised and able to manage your time effectively.  

You will have good interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and possess a strong administration background with excellent computer skills.  You will hold a Certificate III in Education Support.  An ability to support mathematics in the Secondary campus would be highly regarded.

You must hold a current working with children check (Blue Card) and first aid qualifications.  In addition, you must be committed to the Anglican ethos and support the values and culture of the College.
