Qualifications, experience and licences

Junior School Teacher Aide (Prep to Year 6) – 30 Hours per week

  • Certificate III in Education Support
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Blue Card
  • Highly Desirable - First Aid Certificate

Senior School Teacher Aide (Year 7 to Year 12) – Up to 30 Hours per week

  • Diploma or at minimum a Certificate III in Education Support
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Blue Card
  • Highly Desirable - First Aid Certificate
  • 2 years previous experience in this field, working with senior school students is essential.
  • Must be confident in learning the necessary material to provide literacy support.

 

Primary Responsibilities

This position provides assistance to teachers, in classroom preparation, classroom activities and off campus excursions.

We are seeking a professional, student focussed Teacher Aide who displays exceptional communication skills to work collaboratively with and support our Junior or Senior School staff.

Some of the duties may include providing administration support; preparation of material for classes, prepare resources, care and storage of stock, photocopying and produce digital photographs.

  • Assist with outings and other activities.
  • Assist teachers with pastoral care of students.
  • Assist with yard duty supervision.
  • Monitor students’ performance and report information.
  • Provide literacy support (Senior School Teacher Aide).
