Project Accountant

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is an exciting full -time opportunity for an experienced Accountant with proven experience to lead the Project Finance and controlling deliverables within a fast paced and high profile project.  

About the role,

The Accountant/Project Accountant will manage and undertake the accounting function for the company which manages a project. This involves:

  • Month end reporting
  • General ledger maintenance including processing of monthly journals prepayments/accruals
  • Periodic reporting /data analysis in excel
  • Preparing Monthly Project reports to deadlines
  • Cash flow forecasting and management;
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Taxation - BAS/FBT filings
  • Experience in setting up systems and procedures
  • Communication with Project Management team on all project financials

About you,

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting and CPA/CA qualified
  • 5 to 8 years experience in a similar role at a senior level
  • Prior project management or cost control experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
