Trustee Case Manager - Superannuation Trustee Office

Equity Trustees is growing and that means we are on the look out for our next super recruit!

About the role:

The role of Trustee Case Manager provides technical insurance and claims support to the Superannuation Trustee Office (STO).

 Responsibilities will include:

  • Review of Death, TI, TPD and IP claims  related to Group and Retail Insurance policies.
  • Participate as a member of the Trustee's Claims committee.
  • Ensure declined or complex claims are actively managed by ensuring appropriate investigations are undertaken.
  • Prepare the claims report for the Trustee Board.
  • Assist with the review of Insurance Policy amendments and the execution of Memorandum of Transfers.
  • Review PDS Insurance Guide and facilitate sign off by the respective insurer.
  • Assist with maintaining the Trustee's Insurance Management Framework, including supporting policies and procedures.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, finance or related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, assisting with fulfilling practices outlined in the Insurance Management Framework and supporting policy, procedure and strategy.
  • Strong technical skills and experience in the assessment of superannuation insurance (group and retail) claims and relevant superannuation and tax legislation.
  • Ability to maintain relationships with fund insurers and manage policy amendments and review quarterly Insurer reporting.
  • Ability to prepare and present high quality written reports for submission to the Trustee Board and Committees related to Case Management.
  • Strong client and business focus.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to organise / prioritise tasks and work efficiently and independently.
  • Exceptional Computer Skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
