Busy Academic Cardiology practice is looking for a Trainee Medical Receptionist. This role requires energy, enthusiasm and a keenness to learn the skills required to provide administrative support for patient care. An ability to work collaboratively with consideration and compassion for both patients and your colleagues is essential. 
Given that patients attending the practice are sick and often stressed, an ability to maintain a caring approach to patients and their families is very important.
The position would suit a recent University Graduate who is keen to develop the wide variety of skills required. This includes excellent people skills, an ability to communicate clearly face to face, over telephone and also via email communications. Training in medical terminology and Practice IT systems will be provided. Previous retail or customer service experience would be useful but not essential. Obviously clinical skills obtained via Nursing or other Allied Health roles would be an advantage.
An ability to type with reasonable speed and accuracy would certainly help. Basic numeracy is clearly important in a business setting. A calm disposition under pressure is key to being able to cope with the role and teamwork is essential.
Naturally, the practice looks for those who aspire to excel at their work while maintaining a collaborative approach tempered by a sense of humour.
