Rocky Sports Club now been in operation for 19 months and in that time has grown to over 19000 members and 56 sporting clubs. RSC is fast becoming one of Rockhampton's greatest dining venues catering for all demographics.

Now seeking an energetic and motivated Head Chef to take the lead of the team and to help the business drive catering operations forward. Bring your fresh take and ideas to build a great team that has a positive vibe and culture!

You will be accountable for:

  • Menu design working with & reporting to the GM
  • Profitability of the Catering Department
  • Recruitment & training of kitchen staff
  • Cost efficient rosters
  • Purchasing & ordering
  • Food hygiene and WHS

The successful Head Chef will have:

  • Chef Qualifications
  • Superior knowledge of kitchen operations
  • Strong understanding of food Safety requirements
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (FSS)
  • WHS requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Be experienced in a busy Bistro and Functions environment
  • Be able to work well in a team and follow direction
  • Have a good eye for detail
  • Be a good communicator
  • Be flexible to work across 7 days and night
  • A strong background in cook to order and operation of the pass
  • Able to work under pressure and excited by a challenging fast paced environment delivering quality meals
  • Be able to develop a team and get the best from them
  • High standard of food preparation and productivity
  • Be able to work collaboratively with the GM to drive the catering department
