The Opportunity

The Townsville Distribution Centre Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for Sigma employees and visitors, providing our customers with a predictable and reliable service experience in line with our service excellence standards; and focusing on continued improvement of customer service levels and cost efficiencies.

Responsibilities include:

Distribution Centre

  • Enforcing standard operating procedures and work instructions, including Health & Safety, quality control, ensuring all team members adhere to the preferred methods of performing their work
  • Leading an uncompromising ethos on delivering and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Ensuring operational effectiveness and process efficiency by optimising both warehouse and labour productivity
  • Leading and engaging team to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining inventory record accuracy
  • Leading and enforcing Sigma’s Supplier Compliance Standards
  • Leading a culture of service excellence
  • Leading and managing conformance to all security business rules

 

Financial Management

  • Developing financial year budgets and stretch targets for all key drivers
  • Managing operating and capital costs
  • Achievement of DC weekly/monthly budgeted financial performance drivers

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Customer orientation; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate and empower their team
  • Competent Microsoft Office Suite skills
