Demand Planner

Who we are:

Remember the last time you opened a bottle of champagne, a cold beer after a hard day’s work or a bottle of sparkling water to quench the thirst, well it was probably made by us, we are O-I and we are the leading glass bottle manufacturer in the world.

O-I has more than a century of experience crafting pure, sustainable, brand-building glass packaging for many of the world’s best-known food and beverage brands. We are proud to provide high quality glass packaging for beer, wine, spirits, food, non-alcoholic beverages, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

With 27,000 employees and an unparalleled footprint spanning 80 plants in 23 countries, O-I is a truly global maker of glass packaging.

From engineering and manufacturing to brand development, design and innovation, we are dedicated to providing unique solutions to exceed our customers’ expectations and fuel consumers’ desire for glass.

Your role:

There is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Demand Planner to join a close knit O-I ANZ planning team based in Melbourne CBD on a 11 months fixed term maternity leave cover. This role is to manage the complex interactions between Sales, Customer Service and Supply Chain teams and to ensure sufficient inventory is planned and manufactured to meet customers’ demand.

Reporting directly to the ANZ Demand Planning Manager, you will be responsible to manage the demand review cycle to ensure the short-term and long-term rolling forecast on stock availability provided to supply chain planning is as accurate as possible; to validate demand changes, analyze anomalies and implement corrections to forecasts along the S&OP process; and by collaborating effectively with cross functional internal stakeholders to gain alignment on possible production solutions and stock allocations against adjusted forecasts.

It is important that this pivotal position reacts quickly to the market trends (gaps or opportunities), with a focus to optimize the planning process and drive efficiency gains or improve visibility in demand forecasting.

About you:

You’ll be an experienced demand planner that has worked in an FMCG or manufacturing environment for years and ideally with a tertiary education background in areas such as Business or Supply Chain & Logistics. Experience in facilitating and developing S&OP meetings as well as being savvy in SAP or i2 systems would be desirable and valuable to the job. A strong communicator who is capable to show initiatives, engage in constructive discussions and drive improvements across the business will be a key to success.

On offer is the opportunity to be part of an organization that is constantly driving innovation and striving for success. Sitting within a friendly team, you will be able to influence a broad range of stakeholders and build your career growth from every day’s little steps towards excellence.

An attractive salary package is to be provided to the right candidate with sound financial and commercial acumen.

This is what you’ll get from us:

A career at O-I is as unique as each glass package we produce. We are a diverse, inclusive, collaborative and transparent organization and live and breathe our core values. With us, you can be part of producing and branding something pure, healthy and infinitely recyclable. And, as we remain open to new possibilities and ways of working, you can also be part of creating, a better more exciting future – for glass, our business, our plant and yourself.

We will work with you to achieve your goals and offer amazing development opportunities.

If it sounds like you, don’t hesitate to apply. Should you like to have a private chat please call Huy Nguyen on 0415 921 943
