Associate/Senior Civil Engineer

McVeigh Consultants is an integrated architectural, structural and civil engineering firm providing design services to the urban development, building and infrastructure industry.

We are typically appointed as the lead consultant, working as a completely integrated internal team. Information and design decisions flow smoothly, with no frustrating delays or re-work due to outside influences, just work with your fellow team members to resolve all design issue and develop great projects.

We currently have an opportunity for an Associate or Senior Civil Engineer to join our team. You will be a key member of our civil engineering team to work collaboratively within our integrated model, and externally with other consultants, to design and deliver residential, industrial, retail, defence, land development, infrastructure and mining sector projects for our clients. You will have a key role in business development and marketing by building and managing relationships with both our existing and your new clients.

Must haves:

  • 10+ years experience with RPEQ
  • Strong Civil Engineering Design Skills
    • Stormwater
    • Earthworks
    • Roadworks
    • Land Development
  • Team leadership and strong communication skills
  • Client management skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • An open mind, curiosity and appreciation for all fields of engineering and architecture.

You will report to the Managing Director or Team Leader and will develop to be in a position where you will be responsible for the civil engineering services provided by the firm.

You will be a key go-to person for civil engineering within our firm and be mentored in management and leadership by our managing director. You will manage the civil engineering standards and design resources and will have the opportunity to train and mentor bright young members of our team as we grow.
