Integration Solution Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Integration Solution Architect to join our Consulting team.  You will have strong experience in integration design and development, based on best practice principles and patterns.

This is an initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend or become permanent.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Understand organisations' existing logical integration architecture, methodologies, technology landscape and business requirements for large business transformation programs
- Document integration specifications that covers the following aspects:

  •  Data flows, systems data mappings & transformation rules
  • Integration implementation technologies
  • Integration data and messaging mode

- Design, document and create API contracts through Swagger / OAS 2.0, RAML 1.0, SOAP, XSDs or JSON schema etc.
- Conceptualise and document technology solution architectures
- Provide guidance to the technical leads on the proposed solution to ensure a quality outcome for our clients
- Work with functional, application and technology SMEs to understand their business context and integration requirements through discussion, meetings and workshops 
- Continuously improve on standards and enable best practice in the day to day activities and deliverables of the team

Skills and experience

Advanced level knowledge and experience across the following aspects of integration architecture:

  • On-premise and/or SaaS ERP integrations using integration approaches, technologies and patterns such as APIs, SOA, ESB and Microservices.
  • APIs, Web Services & ESB flows design and delivery experience using integration platforms such as Oracle OSB, Axway, Mulesoft, Talend or TIBCO etc.
  • Experience with defining integration data models, service/API contracts and API message using Swagger, SOAP and XSD etc.

- Experience with Linux, Java7/8, Oracle databases and SQL
- Experience with producing integration specifications that can be used by development teams to develop integrations
- Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS
- Experience working with Agile and DevOps techniques and tools
- Experience across working with large delivery teams that includes stakeholders such as solution architects, business analysts, developer and testers etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication
