Business Development Manager

Our client is a highly successful German privately owned multinational corporation serving its clients in more than 140 countries.  They are consistently raising the standards in technology, design, performance and value for every category of machinery they build including thermoformers, traysealers, vacuum chamber machines, robotics and automation solutions.  They service and manufacture for the FMCG industry. 
 
With the Australian Head Office located in Melbourne they also have offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.  The corporate headquarters is located in Germany. 
 
Reporting to the State Manager this role requires:
  • Proven Business Development experience,
  • A strong and driven attitude to succeed,
  • Experience selling in to FMCG Sector,
  • Solid Technical Aptitude,
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal). 
This is a challenging and exciting position.  Ideally a network within the flexible packaging industry and FMCG is an advantage,  however not essential.  An understanding of thermoforming films and applications and knowledge of printing techniques is also advantageous.    You will be an incredibly self motivated and self driven individual that thrives on securing and closing the SALE.  You will have confidence in securing appointments, preparing and delivering presentations and follow through.  You will have excellent presentation skills, clear, concise communication and the ability to build ongoing business relationships.
