Senior Sales & Business Development Manager

We seek a results driven Senior Sales Manager to join our dynamic hotel sales team. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing - Victoria, this is a great opportunity to work within an established team and property to develop your career in a supportive, fun and customer focused environment.

The Role:

  • A strong MICE focus, managing the Meetings & Events sales and coordinator team
  • Hands-on role managing existing clients, whilst canvassing for new MICE opportunities
  • Actively promoting, generating leads, and cross selling across the Pan Pacific Hotels Group portfolio and work with team members to maximise opportunity
  • Collaboration with National and Global Sales Teams in selling all facets of Pan Pacific Hotels Group including Rooms, Food & Beverage and other incremental revenue.
  • Drives success by generating new business and growing existing business 
  • Provides customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales strategies
  • Develop strong community and public relations by maintaining property participation in local, regional and national trade shows, client events, and other client related activities as required

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience in successfully selling 4 or 5 star properties
  • A thorough understanding of MICE, including sales and operations
  • Experience managing a team
  • An understanding of variety of markets including corporate, government and MICE segments
  • Experience managing key customer relationships
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade and obtain "buy-in" from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong research and analytical abilities
  • The ability to travel local and interstate as required
