In-house Barista & Office Support

Casual role:

3 – 4 days per week, 7:30am – 12pm

Role Purpose: To deliver an incredible office experience for staff, clients and guests by providing coffees, teas and other beverages as well as maintaining the cleanliness and consistency of our office spaces. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.

Responsibilities: 

Barista

  • Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate and chai.
  • Maintain all stock levels for beverage related items
  • Ensure clean work spaces at all times 
  • Maintain stock of clean mugs, plates and kitchen utensils including stacking and unstacking dishwashers
  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs if necessary.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations
  • Maintain equipment servicing

Office Experience

  • Enhance the Redeye office experience by working with your Team Lead, accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests. These may include but are not limited to; occasionally help organise events, research, assist with catering, assist with Coles & Woolworths online ordering for ‘special occasions’.
  • Run errands within Brisbane city
  • Order, receive, and stock supplies and retail products.
  • Put out catering orders and setup meeting rooms when required. Must have access to a computer or mobile that can access office 365 online.
  • Take ownership of the daily appearance and standards of the office.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as above mentioned
  • Dust shelves (as required)
  • Make sure toilets are stocked up with toilet paper and relevant items
  • Take any rubbish and recycling down to the bin and break down boxes
  • Clear kitchenette downstairs each morning - take dirty mugs, plates and utensils upstairs and place in dishwasher
  • Refresh meeting rooms throughout the day (morning and mid-morning)

To succeed in this role you must:

  • Have a bright & happy personality
  • Have previous barista experience
  • Occasionally be flexible with hours
  • Be willing to go above & beyond to make everyone that enters the office a pleasant inhouse experience
  • Proactive and can work autonomously
