Please Note:

This position is to be based either full-time in Goulburn, regional New South Wales and will require regular travel to New Zealand. Or alternatively it will be based full-time in New Plymouth (New Zealand) and will subsequently then require regular travel to Australia.

The Role:

This position sits within their executive management team and will see you taking responsibility for the full finance function for New Zealand and Australia running a large team and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. However the role however requires more than just a strong technical accountant who can meet statutory obligations. Reporting through to the MD they are seeking someone with genuine Business Partnering capability and prior experience in doing so. They are looking for someone to take a more strategic and commercial approach, who can maximise the value from the data available to provide detailed management insight and be constantly looking for process improvement opportunities, increased efficiency, reduced costs, less wastage and higher performance and profitability levels.

You need to have strong analytical skills and also strong communication skills as you will be liaising with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority across the business gathering the required financial information to make informed recommendations and decisions. You also need the confidence and leadership ability to drive the changes that are required and ensure all business objectives are being met. This a fast-paced industry so experience in a similar FMCG, Production or Manufacturing environment could be beneficial.

Specifically the role will require you to work extremely closely alongside the MD and executive leadership team to make operational and strategic business decisions to enhance future performance. You will need to have strong staff management skills to run a large team both directly as well as those based remotely.
