Position Summary

In your role, you will assist the Communications Manager in the delivery of the organisation’s core communications services and contract work. This includes, but is not limited to, copywriting for a range of online channels, social media and email campaign management, creating basic web graphics, and regular contact with clients. This is a junior role that will suit candidates looking to get their start in online marketing and communications. 

About Pet Pack

Pet Pack is a boutique marketing agency based in South Melbourne that serves the veterinary industry. Our primary services are email newsletters, social media, websites and search marketing for veterinary practices. We also work closely with the Australian Veterinary Association to develop regular content for their academic journal and websites. We’re a small agency that values collaboration, versatility, and initiative in our team.

  • Create regular Facebook and Instagram posts, including basic graphics, based on content provided by our veterinary writers.

  • Distribute Facebook and Instagram content to clients and schedule posts in Sprout.

  • Assemble monthly pet care advice newsletters from articles provided by our veterinary writers, including creating basic graphics, scheduling and list management.

  • Write veterinary profession news and marketing advice articles for Pet Pack’s monthly client reports.

  • Create monthly pet care advice blogs based on content provided by our veterinary writers and upload them to relevant client sites.

  • Assist with the development, implementation and management of contracted marketing work.

  • Assist with the implementation of Pet Pack’s industry marketing strategy.

  • Assist the wider Pet Pack team in providing administrative assistance, helping to provide first-rate customer support, and other tasks as required.

  • Be a fun, friendly, and flexible member of a small multi-disciplinary team.

Critical Experience

  • Writing experience (corporate, academic, professional)

  • Basic layout experience (Canva, Photoshop)

  • An eye for design - know what looks good and what doesn't

  • Word processing

  • Google Office Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)

Useful Experience

  • Website content management

  • WordPress

  • Sprout or Hootsuite
