Overview

My client, based on the heart of the CBD, is seeking an experienced Financial Services Project Manager to focus on translating a regulatory strategy into an executable plan.

 

You will manage delivery of planned activities, dependencies, and the resourcing allocation of staff within and external to the team, plus facilitate workshops and management of risks and issues.

 

This is an opportunity to work on the latest regulatory environment within the banking space in Australia.

 

Role

This is an initial 2 year fixed term role for an excellent Project Manager to support planning and delivery of the implementation of this regulatory project across the whole organisation.

 

Key Tasks

·          Translating the strategy into an executable implementation plan, including high-level and detailed planning of project milestones, outputs and tasks.

·          Effective day to day management and co-ordination of project resources.

·          Monitoring and reporting on progress to plan in terms of scope, schedule, cost and change management activities.

·          Ensuring that there is adequate clarity of tasks in terms of requirements, quality and completion date.

·          Managing risks, issues and dependencies; initiating corrective actions and maintaining visibility and escalating when appropriate.

·          Managing change or deviation from the plan.

·          Ensuring key deliverables are accepted and signed-off by the appropriate stakeholders.

 

 

 

Required Experience

·          7+ years’ experience in managing business driven projects in banking

·          Experience in regulatory projects within banking and financial services (governance, or accountability projects highly desirable).

·          Impeccable communication, presentation and facilitation skills and a highly professional approach.

·          Strong stakeholder management experience.

·          Excellent skills in the use of project management planning tools and techniques, including waterfall and agile techniques.

·          Experience in vendor, contract management and procurement.
