Social Media Coordinator

Australian Venue Co. operates a diverse portfolio of iconic bars, restaurants, hotels & pubs throughout Australian and New Zealand with an uncompromising commitment to excellent customer service. Due to expansion and growth we are seeking a Social Media Coordinator, with specific skill-set in events, hospitality and nightlife to join the Sydney team.


This role is responsible for developing, establishing and maintaining the social media accounts for venues including Cargo and Bungalow 8 to meet company and venue objectives. You will also be responsible for ensuring the effective management of the social media accounts as well as assist and support the marketing team, operations team and Venue Managers in the execution of the social media and in-venue marketing strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the social media accounts for venues including Cargo, Bungalow 8 and The Loft.
  • Create and capture content for social media all venues social media accounts
  • Drive and execute the organic social media strategy for all venues
  • Attend venue key events & Friday and Saturday night sessions to capture and share live content
  • Manage the in-venue marketing so all signage & communications are up to date
  • Manage and execute multi-channel strategy across Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat


REQUIRED:

  • Tertiary qualifications are not required however marketing & communications students or graduates will be highly regard
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Understanding of advertising legislation and standards across the NSW market, with specific attention to alcohol
  • Technical marketing and sales skills
  • Strong understanding of how social media works in the context of marketing and the ability to drive social media
  • Relevant product and industry knowledge
