It is strategically diversifying into other industries, including childcare. Due to this exciting expansion, the opportunity has arisen for for an experienced and driven Accountant to join their high performing team.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports;
  • Provide insight as to financial structure for new ventures, for example setting up bank guarantees;
  • Advise as to tax, including payroll tax, and BAS, undertaking general calculations and lodgements;
  • Entry of all accounts receivable-related duties: creditor invoices, entering weekly debit and credit notes, bank account reconciliations, processing electronic banking files for credit and debit cards, preparation of cash and cheque bank deposits, management and entry of accruals;
  • Ensuring debtors ledger is kept up to date making sure a high standard of accuracy and timeliness is maintained;
  • Ensure payments allocation processing is completed in a timely manner;
  • Accurate and timely applying of receipts from trade debtors;
  • Follow up outstanding fees and invoices;
  • Resolution of payment and accounts queries;
  • Ad-hoc finance administration;
  • Management of creditors and payables;
  • Investigate and resolve banking errors and adjustments; and
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the broader finance team as required.
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting is Mandatory.
  • Completion of or current undertaking of CA/CPA studies will be highly regarded;
  • Demonstrated history in accounts receivable and management of creditors in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience in Accounts Payable and receivable, banking and electronic banking procedures;
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, set priorities and operate both independently and in a team environment within the resources available;
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills;
  • Demonstrated flexibility and initiative;
  • High level of accuracy and the ability to reconcile output from accounting software;
  • Have experience with a General Ledger accounting and finance system (ideally Xero); experience with QikKids software will be highly regarded;
  • Be highly organised with extreme attention to detail.
