Accountant

Kia Motors is one of the world’s fastest growing motor vehicle manufacturers and represented in over 172 countries across the globe.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant to join us on a 6 month contract with the potential to become permanent, reporting to the Financial Manager. 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the financial controller and financial managers with day to day accounting and finance operations
  • Coordination of month end closing and reporting
  • Preparation of all Quarterly/Monthly/Weekly reports in a timely manner
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and reporting of risk/opportunities
  • Assistance in preparation of the annual finance budget and monthly forecast
  • Management of allocated department budget and business partnering with departments/stakeholder management
  • Assistance in the implementation into the company best practice control processes and reporting automation
  • Liaison with internal and external auditors
  • Mentoring and training of Junior accountants
  • Other ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CA/CPA qualification)
  • Knowledge of SAP and MS Office (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Sound organisational and time management skills
  • Approachability in dealing with internal and external parties
  • Maintaining a “can do” attitude
