We are a small biopharmaceutical company located in western suburb of Melbourne, and we are seeking a hands-on and engaging Finance Manager to join our team on a full time basis.

As a Finance Manager, you will report to the CEO and be responsible for day-to-day management of the finance function as well as supporting office management tasks.

The role will be actively involved in the following areas:

  • Day to day management of Accounting and Financial functions
  • Annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Managing payroll (weekly and fortnightly) and other HR related payment activities
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Bank reconciliations  and credit card reconciliations
  • Managing all contractual obligations for the business including customers, suppliers and employees
  • Monthly management meetings
  • Managing cash flow
  • Managing business insurances
  • Reporting and lodgement of BAS/Payroll Tax/PAYG and SGC payments
  • Liaison with external accountants, advisors, solicitors and insurance providers
  • General office management duties

Skills and personal attributes to be successful:

  • A Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work well in a small team environment
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, with an eye for detail and capable of multi-tasking
  • Strong people management skills, adaptable and a team player
