About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Event Operations Manager to join our passionate team based in Woolwich at our HQ

Reporting to the Venue Manager for both Deckhouse and View By Sydney, this is a hands-on role working with guests and staff to provide exceptional friendly service. The role involves running the event from set up to guest arrival and seeing the event through to close.

Working with an enthusiastic team you will be required to:

  • Provide strong support and be passionate about customer service
  • Have great knowledge of food and beverage
  • Manage rostering and people development

Skills and experience

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a floor-based customer experience role 
  • Preferably 2 years experience with hands-on customer experience- wedding, corporate, conferencing and special events
  • Good communication skills - verbal and written
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Conflict management
  • Hold a current RSA 
  • Valid drivers licence and own transport
  • Understanding of RSA obligations
  • Time management skills
  • Experience with staff allocation and rostering
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Have a mature, reliable and authentic personality
  • Be highly organised and able to effectively manage to change priorities
  • Demonstrate versatility in responding to guest requests and situations
