Maintenance Manager

ABOUT THE POSITION

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager and based at our purpose built Salisbury South facility, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring our various sites receive quality service and support from the maintenance team, with the aim of minimising downtime and maximising plant and equipment efficiencies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Proficient leadership and management of the maintenance team
  • Effective rostering, ensuring adequate coverage and minimising overtime
  • Minimising lost time breakdowns through prevent maintenance strategies and planned shut downs
  • Assisting with the commissioning of new equipment
  • Inventory control of required spare parts and consumables
  • Supporting production ensuring ad-hoc issues are resolved quickly
  • Contributing to capital and continuous improvement projects
  • Trouble shooting and providing innovative solutions

Applicants must have relevant trade qualifications and have proven success in a similar level maintenance role. To be successful candidates will possess strong troubleshooting abilities, be solutions focused with demonstrated experience in shutdown and preventative maintenance planning.  Previous manufacturing experience, preferably within a similar industry, coupled with exposure to automated fast moving equipment is essential.  Knowledge of high speed packaging and bottling lines is preferred.
