About role
DPV Health is seeking an experienced NDIS Support Coordinator to work with people who have a NDIS plan. In this role you will provide support coordination to participants within their NDIS Plans to assist them to achieve their life goals. The successful applicant will have exceptional interpersonal skills, an eye for detail and a thorough understanding of the NDIS and support coordination role.
Applicants must have:
- A strong knowledge of disability through qualifications and demonstrated experience in the field.
- Previous Experience in NDIS Support Coordination work.
- Knowledge and understanding of NDIS supports and requirements.
- Ability to work with people with a disability of all ages and their families or carers.
- Ability to strengthen participants abilities to coordinate and implement their own support plans
- Ability to developing, negotiating and monitoring budgets to maximize resources which enhance participant’s quality of life
- Ability to assist the participant to access and begin to use the Participant Portal.
About you
This is a challenging position, yet rewarding that requires someone who is empathetic, perceptive and resilient. To be successful in this role you will have tertiary qualifications and/or experience in Support Coordination, Social work or social sciences, health or other relevant professional field. You will have contemporary knowledge of current Commonwealth and State Legislature and Service Standards and Guidelines including overarching understanding of NDIS. You need excellent interpersonal skills to engage clients, their family/guardians, advocates and others. It is indispensable that you have a driver’s licence, satisfactory Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and agree to do Disability Worker exclusion scheme clearance.
