Fabrication Planner/Scheduler

About the Roles:

AusGroup are currently seeking Fabrication Planner / Schedulers/ Controls to join the team based in our Kwinana facility. You will be responsible for facilitating, planning and managing the fabrication schedule to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting of activities, resources and materials and lead daily planning session with the production team ensuring schedule and commercial compliance.

 

As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Assist in the development of all levels of fabrication planning and scheduling, development, administration, application of status, systems and reporting
  • Ensure end-user schedule information is communicated to relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop fabrication schedules ensuring consistent implementation of planning and reporting tools and methods
  • Develop, compile, update and distribute all necessary reports and forecasts
  • Ensure correct management and control of fabrication schedules from initiation to completion, identify and monitor concerns with readiness to complete the workforce plan, monitor physical vs planned progress, ensure changes in scope are reflected in schedule
  • Support and mentor junior members of team
  • Strong face to face communication skills

 

Required Experience / Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience as a planner in fabrication, construction or maintenance
  • Sound knowledge and operating experience of Primavera Enterprise (P6)
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft skills
  • Systems and process driven
  • Able to build and run daily work front dashboard sessions
  • Tertiary or trade qualification in Engineering or related
  • Ideally fabrication SMP/Multi-disciplined background

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in maintenance CMMS Systems (i.e. Netsuite, Strumis) or equivalent together with a proven track record within the fabrication sector.
