Daily Organiser

Braemar College is an independent, co-educational and ecumenical school for students in Years 5 to 12. The College has two campuses both of which are located near Woodend, an hour's drive from Melbourne's CBD. The successful candidate will experience working in one of the most unique educational settings.

The role of Daily Organiser is directly responsible to the Head of Campus. The position has significant contact with all staff.  The primary function is to ensure that the classes of absent teachers are appropriately covered in a timely manner to minimize the impact on student learning.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

  • Ensure that the classes of absent teachers are appropriately covered in a timely manner to minimize the impact on student learning.
  • Attend the College early each morning in order to action staff absences.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the academic day throughout the year by undertaking staff planning each cycle.
  • Allocate timetabled yard duties for staff each semester.
  • Assist with verification student attendance on a daily basis.

The successful applicant needs to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A solid understanding of the use of systems and databases, preferably Timetabler.and SEQTA.
  • Display supportive and professional interactions with staff.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • An ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Fast and competent computer use.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • The ability to work alone and in teams when required.
  • Multitasking across a variety of work throughout the day.
