Accounts Receivable Officer

Helloworld Travel Limited is one of Australia's leading integrated travel businesses, providing specialist government and corporate business travel, wholesale products, franchised retail services and ticket distribution services across 8 countries.

Located in Melbourne CBD, opposite Southern Cross Station, the Finance & Administration Department are seeking an individual to join the Accounts Receivable team as an AR Officer.

Reporting to the Group Credit Manager and working as part of a team, this position will be responsible for your own allocated debtors ensuring services are invoiced, collected and allocated accurately and in accordance with agreed terms.

As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will:

  • Ensure all payments are entered onto bookings/invoices within specified time frames
  • Reconcile payments and assist with the preparation and balancing of daily banking
  • Receipt payments and investigate any dishonoured payments or account disputes
  • Process manual, electronic and sundry refunds
  • Action queues and emails
  • Handle internal and external client queries
  • Produce and send monthly statements of account to debtors in a timely manner
  • Daily follow up with outstanding debtors
  • Ensure all travel reservations are invoiced and funds received prior to departure

As the ideal applicant you will have:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically English.
  • Advanced to Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products (Specifically Excel)
  • Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external clients
  • An ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem solving and follow up skills
