About the Role

An exciting role has just become available for a (preferably) experienced and registered Speech Pathologist to join our team and work across our Toowoomba Service Centre and related clinics.

This role is also suitable for Graduates and we welcome your application!

This role is available for an immediate start for the successful candidate.  This role reports directly to the Service Centre Manager and offered on a full time or part time basis dependent on the candidates experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a (preferably) experienced and Registered Speech Pathologist, you will use scientific methods to study the factors that influence human behaviour and apply a range of therapies and interventions to assist our clients in managing their areas of concerns to enable our clients to improve their quality of life.

  • Proficiency in providing assessment, intervention and management of children and young adults with physical disabilities, developmental delays, communication impairments and other associated disabilities
  • Proficiency in the ability to design and implement a service plan for customers that achieves their goals
  • Proficiency in meeting benchmarks for service provision
  • Provide evidence based therapy to achieve customer goals within available resources
  • Accurate and timely documentation of stakeholder communication  in accordance with approved format
  • Accurately and concisely record all customer interaction and workload management statistics to facilitate the analysis of service trends
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of a range of disabilities and conditions
  • Adhere to all work health & safety policies and compliant within the ethical boundaries of Montrose Therapy and AHPRA

To have a chat with us about this role you must have:

  1. Mandatory recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathologist
  2. Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  3. Current Blue Card and First Aid Certificate.
  4. Prior experience in disability management and/or paediatrics is preferred.  We will support experienced therapists who would like to transition into paediatric practice
  5. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team is preferable.
  6. A current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for service provision.
