Role Overview:

As a Customer Care Officer your aim will be to provide superior quality service to our customers whilst managing the day to day collections of a portfolio of Home Loan and Car Loan accounts.


Your Main responsibilities will include:

  • Handling both inbound and outbound calls with customers who are in various stages of arrears with their loan
  • Action daily dishonour & weekly arrears reports <60 days arrears
  • Analysing customers financial position and providing appropriate solutions whilst meeting both business and customer needs
  • Negotiating sustainable repayment arrangements with customers
  • Provide support and assistance, to customers who are experiencing financial difficulties
  • Using sound judgement and decision making to recommend actions to be taken with delinquent accounts and passing on for debt collection and/or further legal action
  • Liaise with external suppliers e.g. solicitors, mercantile agents, auction houses
  • Skip tracing and other actions to minimise losses
  • Repossessions management and control
  • Assist Collections Manager with debt enforcement matters as required

What’s in it for you?

  • Salary: CIRCA $65,000 + Super + discretionary annual bonus
  • Monday to Friday with flexible working hours between 8.30am and 5.30pm
  • Sydney CBD close to public transport


What you will need to succeed:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in either home loan or secured personal loan debt collections
  • Strong knowledge of relevant industry legislation including Privacy Act, NCCP and Debt Collection
  • Good understanding of the debt recovery stages for regulated loans
