National Account Manager - Pharmacy

About the role

This role will be responsible for leading the growth of industry sales and developing new business sales opportunities managing our Nutritionals category within Pharmacy. 

A strong focus will be placed on maximise all sales opportunities by proactively creating new opportunities and achieving sales targets. Additionally, this role will be responsible for:

  • Full accountability for identifying and qualifying national account leads;
  • Effective management of sales pipeline and developing strategies for long-term sustained success;
  • Collaboration with internal teams to deliver superior customer service;
  • Comprehensive sales and activity reporting;
  • Development and growth within existing portfolio;
  • Customer management;
  • Work with Marketing to achieve the best possible brand and product strategies that can be effectively executed across the category;
  • Develop and leverage insight led strategies to drive growth; and
  • Deliver top line growth and margin targets.

About you

To be successful in this position you will be an experienced National Account Manager with previous exposure within the Pharmacy channel. You will thrive in an agile working environment, eager to demonstrate their passion and hit the ground running. Additionally, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Marketing;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a National Account Manager role;
  • FMCG knowledge, with a strong understanding of the industry and Account Management experience;
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence outcomes;
  • High levels of tenacity and resilience, with a results orientated mentality;
  • Ability to think creatively and present new proposals to add value;
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and selling skills;
  • Computer literate with MS Office;
  • Ability to multi-task with competing priorities; and
  • Independent and autonomous self-starter.
