Graphic Designer / Web Design and Illustrators

Graphic, WEB Designers AND Illustrators - Large Government Department - Parramatta 

GRAPHIC AND WEB DESIGNERS, AND ILLUSTRATORS design information for visual and audio communication, publication and display using print, film, electronic, digital and other forms of visual and audio media.
  
Expert experience in:
  1. Adobe products,
  2. Online surveys i.e. survey gizmo
  3. Mail chimp,
  4. Squiz Matrix or similar
Primary Purpose of the Role
  • Prepare and manage the accuracy, quality and timeliness of the Programs website.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to define key aspects of proposed user experience, it's evolution across a multi-channel digital ecosystem, and how it reconciles business and user needs
  • Assess existing properties/sites for usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and branding
  • Create visually compelling concept models
  • Research and assist in the collection of accurate data, including customer feedback, and its analysis, and identify and recommend areas for improvement and reforms designed to provide responsive and safe transport services.
  • Bring a deep understanding of design thinking with core strengths and experience in user research, interaction design and information architecture.
  • Support and work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to continually update the service management processes in a timely and efficient manner
  • Contribute to the development and preparation of proposals, submissions and presentations related to strategic business reforms
  • Identify opportunities to create business value and improve the user experience for our clients (based on Role dimensions user research, heuristics and best practice)
  • Coordinate, contribute and respond to customer enquiries, at all times ensuring quality service
  • Drive the design of innovative experiences that meet NSW Government’s objectives and goals.
Key challenges:
  • Provide solutions that cater to the needs of users and businesses with often having to manage competing and at times conflicting priority
  • Design and develop innovative strategies when requirements can often be varying and constantly changing.
  • Managing and being responsible for high standards of customer service managing a small team that focuses on the transport needs of students with disability where stakeholder needs are often demanding and emotive.
  • Overseeing changes in the work environment regarding work practices and systems aimed at improving business outcomes and customer serviceWork with internal and external stakeholders to determine project needs, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Generate tender documentation, invite responses, evaluate, and award/recommend tenders and proposals
  • Conduct sourcing activities including preparation for documentation, evaluation and recommendation
  • Participate in negotiations to establish contractual arrangements to deliver value for money procurement outcomes
  • Provide advice, information, guidance and governance on procurement related matters
