Line Operator - 12 hour shifts

About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Line Operator to join our team in Stapylton. To be successful, you will have previous experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment, be mechanically minded and have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. You will also be required to work a permanent night shift (12am to 12pm) across a roster of 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off (7 days per fortnight). Therefore having every second weekend off work.
About you:
- A minimum of 5 years industry experience within a FMCG environment
- A current forklift licence
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate with ERP experience (preferably SAP)
- Strong focus and awareness of workplace health and safety
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to trouble shoot production line issues
- Understand HACCP, GMP and hygiene processes in the food/beverage industry
- Hold a current Australian Drivers Licence
- Strict attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills
- Blow moulding, Krones or Kosme experience advantageous
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Operating beverage filling/processing equipment to achieve daily production schedule
- Maintaining and running machines to the highest effectiveness with the lowest cost to manufacturing, (labour, waste, quality and quantity)
- Perform the final quality checks on the pallets of finished product from the packing machine in accordance with requirements
- Follow the instructions of the Production Supervisor to ensure finished product is safely & efficiently stored in the warehouse
- Complete accurate & legible records
- Maintaining packaging raw materials and film supply to the machine
- Maintain operational equipment including forklifts in a safe and clean state
- To work safely, efficiently & cost sensitively
- HACCP and GMP requirements are met throughout the production process
- Participate in line change overs and minor preventative maintenance activities
- Ensuring product quality is maintained by complying with SOP’s and ensuring cleaning and sanitation schedules are met
