About the Role

We are looking for experienced Coordinator for our Short Stay Respite Centre to join our team. Our Short Stay Respite is a purpose built facility centrally located on the Gold Coast designed specifically as a holiday destination for people with a disability. We offer themed holidays such as Foodies Week, Theme Parks week, Schoolies Week and many others. It is our vision that customers staying with us have the opportunity to spend time away from home, working on goal achievement outcomes and having fun with like-minded individuals.

This is permanent full-time role based at the purpose built facility in Labrador and with occasional work from our Slacks Creek office. In this role you will work closely with our Lifestyle & Leisure team to ensure great programs are offered. To deliver this service you will have a strong clinical background (nursing is ideal) to assess and support the care needs of our customers. You will also have strong experience managing a casual workforce.

Skills & Attributes

  • Previous experience in a Coordinator role for short-stay respite in disability services, or aged care or other relevant community services sector.
  • Registered or Enrolled Nursing qualifications;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a values based team focused on delivering high quality customer services;
  • Previous experience managing a large casual workforce and the ability to understand Enterprise Agreement terms to ensure rosters are managed appropriately;
  • The ability to provide staff training on job related training needs,
  • Excellent customer relationship management and a proven ability to manage customer service across multiple stakeholders within an organisation;
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in a multi-disciplinary services environment;
  • Excellent administrative and communication skills;
  • Availability for on call support on occasion;
  • Current ‘C’ class driver’s license.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Be eligible to apply for a working with children check (blue card) and an exemption notice (yellow card) through The Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services.
  • Provide a certificate of completion for the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
