SCT Logistics is a rapidly growing business, which prides itself on being a leader in transport and logistics solutions. Our objective is to achieve service excellence through open communication and a “can do” approach to business.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated person with transport industry experience to fill the role of Operations Administration Officer at our Parkes facility in Western NSW. Days and hours of work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday and Saturdays from 7.00am – 3.00pm – Fridays 7.00am – 7.00pm.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Complete and generate all Container Terminal/ Rail related consists and documents and distribute as necessary
- Updating the SAP system in real time with respect to rail freight processing
- Freight receipting and packing
- Driver Debriefing
- Perform assigned duties in accordance with SCT policies and work instructions; and applicable legislation and/or as directed by the Branch Manager or his nominated representative/s.
- Work in a manner which will not endanger yourself or any other person.
- Conduct yourself in a manner that ensures SCT is recognized as safe, reliable and a quality supplier of related services.
- Report all Incidents/Hazards to the immediate Supervisor.
- Participate, as required in Risk Assessments, Inspections and operational meetings as required that affect the Parkes Branch.
- Complete all documents in relation to Quarantine and Dangerous Goods guidelines as per state and federal legislations.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: -
- Strong commitment to WHS and an understanding of WHS requirements and policies
- Understanding of the SCT Group business model
- Solid experience in a similar role.
- The ability to work unsupervised with a high level of self-motivation.
- Customer service focuses with excellent communication skills. (Written & Verbal)
- Strong organisational skills with strong computer literacy and acute attention to detail.
- Willingness to “get the job done” without compromising service to customers.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
