Darwin Based Administration Officer
Permanent Part time – 2 Days per week
Contract length: 12 Months
One Tree Community Services is a not for profit organisation that supports community services and childcare centers throughout Australia. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administration Officer to join our Darwin Office to support the Yarralin School Nutrition Programme (SNP) and children’s service.
On Offer to you:
  • Permanent part time role - 2 days per week
  • Salary $23.46 p.h – 29.04 p.h (experience dependent) plus super

Position requirements: 

  • Maintain accurate record of nutritious menu plan which reflects available ingredients;
  • Assistance with procurement and acquittal to support programme delivery;
  • Detailed record keeping
  • Complete and facilitate online food safety training for all staff working in the kitchen
  • Facilitate food safety inspections and maintain up to date records
  • Maximize student enrolment through community visits to ensure Centrepay payments are consistent
  • Fulfil reporting requirements for Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.
Selection Criteria:
  • Proven experience in budget management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in key stakeholder management
  • Adept in use of full Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Highly organised
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and achieve deliverables in set timeframes
  • Understanding of Child Care / Community Services Sector
  • Ability to travel to rural and remote areas and, as required, to stay in these locations for short or extended periods of time
  • Drivers license
  • Cultural competence and demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural setting, in particular with Indigenous communities
  • OCHRE card
  • Police clearance (no older than 3 months)
  • First Aid
  • Remote/ rural living experience
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience working in Aboriginal communities
