A little about the role

The Language Service Team Leader will manage the day to day operations of the services to ensure DPV Health Culturally and Linguistically Diverse clients have access to inclusive community health services through with qualified interpreters.  The role will also work collaboratively with the Executive Manager Client Experience & Community Engagement and other internal client facing businesses.

The positions primary responsibility will be to consolidate, reset and run the service to deliver a superior operating rhythm (service definition & delivery, KPI’s, reporting) resulting in reductions in client waitlists, drive DPV Health’s utilization and improve the client experience.

The position will have end to end accountability for delivering language services across a number of DPV Health sites during a period of rapid and comprehensive change.

 

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in running an operational business and adhering to operational excellence principles of process measurement & control
  • Demonstrated background in continuous improvement principles (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • Demonstrated organisation and administrative skills including the capacity to coordinate a number of staff delivering direct client services
  • The ability to complete several tasks concurrently while maintaining an eye for detail and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and develop staff
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of diversity, EEO and participatory work practices
  • Demonstrated commitment to and use of appropriate ethical standards and behaviours
  • Strong and proven written communications, oral communication & systems skills.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with clients, internal stakeholders and third party providers
  • Ability to negotiate and gain co-operation and support from others in a team environment.
  • Willingness to support team members and work as part of a cohesive team across DPV health.
