Product Development Manager - Nutritionals

About the role

As the Product Development Manager, you will champion excellence in project management and collaboration, whilst being responsible for maintaining fiscal accuracy on all projects – including forecasting, managing timelines and tracking project vs. overall budgets.

The key to success within this role will be to lead the planning and development of all new products and reformulations across our Nutritionals portfolio. 

  • Managing end-to-end formulations and product development across the portfolio;
  • Driving internal & external communications processes for new product development from ideation through to execution;
  • Ensure clear stakeholder communication regarding roadmap, project status, launch dates etc.
  • Establish & maintain strong relationships with suppliers;
  • Continually identify opportunities for improvement across the portfolio, both short-term and long-term;
  • Critically appraise evidence for potential ingredients and products, and prepare research analysis reports;
  • Conduct literature and regulatory reviews, and report recommendations for potential formulas; and
  • Be at the forefront of the latest ingredients and technology trends in the industry.

About you 

This role will provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of the industry and influencing skills to really help grow our Company and drive performance. 

You will form part of a  highly dynamic and results orientated  team, motivated by our innovative products and our brands. 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Naturopathy or a related discipline;
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Product Development role, preferably within an FMCG environment;
  • Proven end to end (concept – execution) NPD Management experience;
  • Experience working in a fast paced and agile working environment with short lead times;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and New Product Development (NPD) experience;
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and comfortable working with a high volume of sku’s;
  • Highly organised, with the ability to operate under pressure, and multitask under tight deadlines; and
  • Self-motivated with super-effective project management skills.
