ITC Caseworker

MacKillop Family Services, a Catholic community agency, exists to support, foster hope and promote justice for children, young people and families, particularly those who have experienced distress, disadvantage and abuse.

MacKillop Family Services is an accredited provider of The Sanctuary Model. Sanctuary supports organisations to provide a safe and caring environment for people affected by trauma, and to maintain a culture that reflects these qualities at every level within the organisation.

ITC Caseworker – Lismore and Surrounding areas

MacKillop Family Services is excited to be implementing Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) Services to support children and young people with high and complex needs.  The ITC services will provide pro-active therapeutic care and have a strong focus on recovery from trauma providing an alternative to long term residential care with a broader range of placement options for children and young people to achieve positive outcomes in education, mental and physical health including permanency in their lives.

Working closely with the Therapeutic Specialists and the ITC team, the ITC Caseworker will provide high quality therapeutic care and effective casework to young people within the program to heal from trauma and achieve their full potential. Please note that this position is based in the Channon and Wollongbar.

To be considered for an interview, you must be tertiary qualified or working towards tertiary qualifications with demonstrated experience in casework practice, preferably in Out-of-Home-Care. You will display a confident approach working with young people with complex care needs and have experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally and linguistically diverse groups. With excellent interpersonal skills, this role will build collaborative relationships across professional and organisational boundaries and you will be well versed in the of Out-of-Home-Care policy, standards and quality frameworks in NSW.
