The Organisation
This forward thinking, multi-cultural and internationally focused government department is seeking a motivated and committed passport processing officer to undertake administrative passport processing activities and support to the Bulk Mail Processing Officer in their Sydney Production Centre.
The Position
This role will help to provide assistance and perform a range of clerical and administrative tasks in support of issuance of Australian travel documents.  Under general supervision and direction, you will be responsible for assisting with general office administration tasks including: 

– Management and distribution of high volume of mail and correspondence   
– Performing high speed and accurate data entry, document preparation, scanning, personalisation, crop, document/photo exceptions re-work. 
– Use of computer-based technology, to crop images and verify biographical details of passport applications
– Operate printer and laminate machines to produce Australian travel document
– Analysing paper based passport applications to online forms (as required) in Canberra or State and Territory Offices 
– Providing various administrative support in relation to and prior to the issue of Australian travel documents, with guidance as required. 
– Assisting in the travel document production workflow, i.e.: ensure data quality prior to the issue of Australian travel documents.
– Undertaking Quality Assurance of travel document application forms prior to print of travel documents
– Undertaking processing tasks and operate travel document printer and laminate machines to produce Australian travel documents
