What you’ll be doing

The Lending Consultants are individually accountable for maintaining service to a level where profits and customer satisfaction are maximised and for contributing to the successful operation of the Team.

The Lending Consultants seek to:

  • Provide and maintain an excellent customer experience,
  • Attract and retain high value business,
  • Increase customers usage of Bank Australia as main financial institution
  • Accept and process loan applications in accordance with delegations and documented policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with solicitors and valuers regarding lending processing.
  • Load applications onto the system checking details of applications, updating customers’ personal, employment and financial details on the system if applicable.
  • Be aware of all legislation governing lending and its impact on day to day loan assessing and processing.
  • Comply with Bank Australia operating policies and procedures at all times.
  • Assist to develop long term mutually rewarding relationships between Bank Australia and its customers.
  • Regularly review procedures and recommend areas for improvement.

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated ability to provide financial products to meet customers’ needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of lending legislation eg. National Credit Code (NCC) & Privacy Act.
  • Effective decision making skills
  • Ability to investigate and follow up queries
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Customer service experience
  • Empathy to the customers’ financial situation
  • PC literacy

Previous lending experience is essential.
