Continuous Improvement Manager

As our Continuous Improvement Manager (Facilities) you’ll drive the evolution of ideas that support and drive the business through the realisation and delivery or tangible operational improvements. You’ll work with our global facilities team and other stakeholders to deliver sustainable business solutions that improve our employee experience, increase performance, consistency and resilience and reduce cost.

The impact you’ll have:

  • You’ll look at all outcomes through a continuous improvement lens, identify business process improvements that lead to operational efficiencies and implement change aligned with a best practice, customer centric mindset
  • You’ll partner collaboratively with the Facilities team to understand current processes and continuously review, adapt, and re-design our processes to create the best possible end user experience for our employees
  • A stickler for detail, you’ll develop and maintain thorough documentation for all system processes, through documenting and presenting continuous improvement initiatives for review and endorsement
  • You’ll collaborate extensively with stakeholders across the business - Technology, Finance, Procurement, as well as the group Facilities Management team, encouraging robust discussions to find the best solution - you are no stranger to tenacity
  • You’ll update existing or create new policies, procedures and process documentation and demonstrate the ability to think holistically, carefully considering the impact of process changes on end users and other stakeholders in the chain
  • Using traditional principles, combined with modern practices and creative thinking, you will be a key a key driver of change to promote self-service, automate manual processes, reduce repetitive tasks and manual intervention in order to improve productivity
  • You will be a key team member of a new function that will focus on driving business excellence within Transurban and have the opportunity to own and drive continuous improvement and deliver value at the cutting edge of daily operations

The talents you’ll bring:

  • You’ve had previous experience developing strategies and delivering continuous improvement projects within a corporate environment
  • A natural builder of relationships, you’ll enjoy getting on the front foot, embedding yourself in the business and working with different stakeholders to influence and guide them
  • As a strong communicator in all forms, you will have an innate ability to identify and articulate opportunities for improvement and you enjoy dealing with a variety of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, internal and external to achieve strong business outcomes
  • Analytical and incisive, you’ll spot opportunities and use your ingenuity - and that of your colleagues - so that we can succeed together
  • You’ll enjoy researching and investigating, lifting all the stones, allowing you to understand the businesses opportunities / gaps / problems and then to develop and present the best solution. Continuous improvement is part of your DNA!
  • You won’t be afraid to challenge the status quo, and are skilled at asking the right questions to uncover potential opportunities
  • You must bring extensive process analysis expertise, including process design and improvement
  • Significant project and/or BAU business improvement delivery experience gained in a similar type role (continuous improvement analyst, process analyst, project manager)
  • Any experience supporting change, via transformative project/s (system integration focus) will be viewed favourably
