Additional capabilities include management of the design, construction, operation and maintenance of de-watering systems. We are currently seeking applications from Project Engineers to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. These positions will be based at our large utilities’ project located in Boddington on a rostered DIDO basis, commencing January 2020.

About you

You ideally have previous experience in a similar role within the civil construction and mining industries. Other prerequisites include:

  • Degree Qualified Engineer, Electrical, civil or mechanical
  • Strong project cost management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong PC & MS Office skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Current C class drivers’ licence
  • Strong team player and willing to learn
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Recent experience on Civil/Utilities Projects

Key responsibilities

  • Providing project team and project stakeholders with direction and feedback in regard to project designs and engineering queries;
  • Reviewing site reports prepared by project personnel and identifying corrective action where required;
  • Proactively managing the project to achieve quality, schedules, budgets and safety. Utilise and maintain tools: schedules and document management to track and record project performance;
  • Maintaining and procuring customer relations and attending and conduct project meetings;
  • Procurement of work through visit existing and potential customers to promote company services;
  • The preparation of routine internal and external project reports;
  • Managing the procurement of materials and the management of subcontractors together with the Project Managers to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes;
  • Preparing and maintaining project quality assurance documentation and project handover documents;
  • Informing management of productivity, costs, quality control, document management and processing of applications for payment identifying corrective actions required to rectify these issues;
  • Notifying management of any issues that arise which affect quality, budget, progress and safety and identifying corrective actions required to rectify these issues;
  • Compliance with any and all statutory, regulatory, governance and legislative requirements without exception.
