Casual Customer Service Consultant

This role will be a maternity relief position.

As a Customer Service Consultant your role will be to provide customers with superior service with their banking requirements, and also identify customer’s needs and match those needs to the sale of Auswide Bank’s products and services.

Duties

Your duties will be amongst, but not limited to:

As a Customer Service Consultant you are to ensure that you carry out your front counter operations (Deposits, Withdrawals, Account Transactions) in accordance with Auswide Bank's Policies and Procedures.

You are to maintain the security of money held and maintained at a level deemed appropriate for the normal daily banking of its customers.

You are to ensure that the Branch maintains a high degree of security whilst maintaining an appropriate Branch appearance.

Auswide Bank offers a range of products for sale. It is expected that you will to the best of your knowledge by reason of training or experience actively promote these products with the intention to instigate a successful sale.

Home Loans

You are to promote the Home Loan products that are available with a view to obtaining an appointment for the customer with a Loan Consultant.

Term Deposits and Deposit Products

You are to seek any opportunity to attract new money to Auswide Bank and to retain existing money held by customers.

Third Party Products

Identify the needs of clients and support those needs either through the sale of the relevant product or the referral to a specialist with the relevant experience to assist the customer.

Responsibilities

  • To follow directions from Management, in particular the Team Leader at your branch
  • To work as an efficient team member, participate in problem solving initiatives and innovation to enhance the organisations capabilities
  • To provide exceptional customer service and to continually strive to exceed Auswide Bank’s expected exceptional service standards
  • To ensure all allocated duties are completed to Auswide Bank’s policy and procedures including privacy guidelines and any other applicable laws / legislation
  • To strive to complete assigned tasks and duties accurately, completely and by designated deadlines
  • To work co-operatively with other personnel and external partners to achieve the company’s objectives, assigned tasks and duties
  • To protect the company’s reputation, image and commercial confidentiality
  • To be an active participant in all Branch activities.
  • To continually strive to achieve or exceed the sales targets that are set for you across all products and services.

As part of the application process, we may also ask you to complete a survey about your work style and any appropriate aptitude tests relevant to the role.

If you are successful for a role with Auswide Bank, it is a condition of employment that background screening is completed to ensure that the Bank complies with its own obligations and requirements under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Act. These checks will include a minimum of a Criminal History Check, Bankruptcy Check and Employment checks.
